Mother earth is a story about women who fights for the awareness and importance of a simple act of gardening, caring for the environment, holistic act of connecting with nature would in turn help the earth that would in affect help us and the future generation through the simple act of sharing with nature.

Director Biography - Juliette Shinta Indrasari

Shinta was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. She is a published author, producer and director. Her works mainly span in TV commercials and this is the second time she directed a documentary. Her love of documentary stems out from watching many documentaries and talking with everyday people and finding there are stories even in the most simplest basic human behavior. The truth sometimes can be even crazier than fiction!

Director Statement

During the pandemic, i think most of us has to wake up abruptly about the sudden change in the world means for all of us, which led me to realized how much environmental issues affects us. This realization lead me to these women eco warriors. These women that i focused on has been key personalities in leading awareness of climate change through the simple act of gardening and home-agriculture especially in the time where you could not go anywhere. They are truly the keeper of the earth.
