Director Biography - Sujay Chattopadhyay

This short film, Mon, should be considered as the first movie directed by Sujay Chattopadhyay. During the last decade, Sujay has served both as the actor and the director in several Bengali theater productions of Seattle Theaterwala (Seattle, USA based multi-ethnic cross-cultural theatre group), and recently of Rashbehari Shailushik (Kolkata, India based theatre group). Also, during his stay in Seattle, he was actively involved in the mainstream English theater productions as an actor during 2014-17.

Director Statement

We are a team of theater and film enthusiasts who have taken a passionate drive to make short films, with an emphasis on human minds and relationships. In this one, as our first attempt, we have conceptualized a plot on the theme of identity crisis that we all suffer from in one way or the other.
