MONSTRA | Lisbon Animated Film Festival was born in 2000 in order to celebrate the artistic transversality, to meet people from different arts, new artistic looks forward, using as a basis the most multidisciplinary language we know: the Animated Film.

MONSTRA's 17th edition will happen from March 8th to 18th 2018.

Each edition we focus retrospectives and curatorships on a guest country - MONSTRA 2018 edition's guest country is Estonia.

Our competitive sections are: Feature Film, International Short Film, International Student Short Film, International Super Short Film, Portuguese Short Film, MONSTRINHA (Animation Films for Children).

Submissions open on June 1st 2017 and close on November 19th 2017.
