MONA
A constant shifting of events is what you about to expect in this horror-drama short film. Director Francis L.J.Gacer has done it again, turning a new breed of horror page. The entire film was shot in a Abu Dhabi, UAE cornfield resembling a Philippine setting.
MONA (Anne Barredo) and her daughter LEN-LEN (Lucy Manalang) are barely making ends meet after the head of their family who died due to illness. Mona since then , farmed a piece of land just to put bread on the table. Near to Mona's heart is her childhood friend: LUMENG (Churchill Soriano) who single-parenting her son PINONG (Markus Andrei Carranza) after her husband was accused of supporting the rebels and eventually mercilessly killed by the military.
Their peaceful lives reached a gruesome turn of events that reveals a long-kept secret of Mona.

FRANCIS GACER is a Filipino born independent and multi-awarded director from a family of artists and musician in his native town Pampanga, Philippines. He has ventured filmmaking because of his passion in telling stories that are usually not casted by the public’s eyes. Francis is a former political activist in the Philippines from where his writing flair and perspective cumulates. His younger years has imbued in him a vast experience in literature, arts, music and theatre arts. He is an overseas worker in the Middle East for over two decades but haven’t turned back from his passion. Now based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates- Francis J Gacer has put up a Filipino based film production: KIKOMAN FILMS; a non-profit organization with a sole aim to foster overseas Filipino talents and bring exposure to the silver screen.
