MILK

Within the video work MILK, Claudia Lomoschitz explores historical myths and legends regarding lactation, by the use of art historical images. The images emerge from a digital ocean of milk, to liquefy patriarchal power relations in a performative way. The humorous narration by Anne Kozeluh and Alexander Franz Zehetbauer told the story of Maria Lactans, the Egyptian intersex god Hapi and Dumuzid, the Sumerian god of milk, among others.
