MERICA

Merica is a quick portrait, a sketch and a flashback of made in the USA. The text recounts mixed feelings: on the one hand the criticism of the American model, cynical, materialistic, violent; on the other hand the awareness of not distinguishing too much from what is being criticized. While the sound aims to untangle repeating, simplifying, minimizing the riff and rhythm to bring out a track to follow. Together they form something like the great ring road of Rome at rush hour populated by trucks, cars and motorcycles that hurtle, overtake, slow down, stop and leave again. They go around in circles, aimlessly but also without obstacles or anxiety to arrive. The reflection of a rent low enough to allow you to enjoy a groove door and a poetic washed by Chet Baker but dried by the wind of rap, in the shadow of punk.
