the film is inspired by a poem that my life partner wrote, the poem called "to all the ghosts" in a few words the poem is focusing of the unconscious experience of a person who felt like a ghost all is life and in certain point in her life she discover she been living like that and the realization of that is breaking all her reality she knows. i took a few of elements from this poem and create my film on different narrative then the poem. "MERAHEFET" is a word in hebrew that describes the act of hovring from places and sights. the film focuses on the movement between the worlds of life and the non-living world. The world of non-life - the world of hovering - is a restless, circular, cold (the blue color) almost nightmarish world that floods the pain of the main character as she looks out of a window and the shutters of her house and for a moment between all her “hovrings” manages to dream or remembered , she become aware of what is missing, the deep longing to experience a life of tranquility and no longer be in a world of never-ending movement of levitation between places and situations and to move to a world where floating, There is peace, tranquility and freedom and an open space where everything is possible. to be that peaceful girl on the water. trusting herself to let herself be led by the waves of the sea. to feel more human and more in touch with the worlds that surrounds her.
when you can not be in contact with the things that surround you, wander without a single moment of rest, pass without being able to stop for a moment and linger with everything around you and especially within you, the urge to change it becomes stronger over time and in the end you realize that it is not life but death. The film proposes that it is inevitable that longing to live and be in touch with oneself and with the world is inevitable, the question is how much you manage to linger with this deep yearning in life itself and ultimately choose to realize this craving. The film tries to present this and asks the viewer to linger not only with the sights presented to him through the image of the ghost, but to linger on the movement in the viewer's life between the choice to float and rest and the state of lack of choice and to bear the decree of hovering without stopping and resting.
