MAYA

After the tragic death of her father, Maya, a young girl, encounters an extraterrestrial being which pushes her to make major decisions as she decides to help the non-human even if she has to disobey her lonely mother.

MAYA is a short light-hearted sci-fi drama film that visualizes how things would be if one of our neighbors whom we thought to be human, is actually an extraterrestrial creature. Although it is a science fiction film, it isn’t about the usual ‘alien vs human’ idea,
some big spaceship explosions or some production design heavy costumes. Instead, the story focuses on how a real person would react if he/she actually meets an alien who looks like a human.
