MAKING A SCI-FI MOVIE

SYNOPSIS:
Making Sci-Fi, is a light-hearted look, at a woman, battling in the world of men, to make and direct a movie. The main character is a woman named Brooke. She is driven, to win a best director award at the Academy Awards.
Start:
The scene starts, with Brooke, and her crew of five assistants, walking along Newnes Valley NSW. They are impressed by the ancient building formations. Brooke's next movie is about a human colony on another planet. The formations, would make the backdrop, look like, another planet. The Park ranger refuses to let them make it, in the National Park. They try to find, an alternative area. Jenny, Brookes's assistant, finds out from the ranger, about another spot. It is near a place called Glen Davis. A hermit owns the land. Brooke is trapped into having dinner with him, to help get use of his property. They develop a connection. Returning to Sydney, they arrange the financial support, for the picture.
Middle:
Having received funding, they return, to Glen Davis. The sets have been erected, on John, the hermits, property. Filming begins, although, the film crew is jumpy, the area spooking them. Benny their driver, has returned, having fallen in love with Betsy, the eighty years old, who owns the motel. This causes a great deal of talk and worry, about what is going on. Brooke the director, is too busy, directing the film, to have time with John, the hermit owner. Benny and Betsy's relationship, comes to a head, in the local saloon. There is a showdown, between the town elders and Betsy. She reveals she may be pregnant, causing all present, to be horrified. Betsy, then reveals that she is only in her late thirties, shocking everyone. Kim, a special effects expert, suspects, John the hermit, is an alien. When John cures her of a problem she has, Brookes's assistants, think she is cheating, with John, behind Brookes's back. They decide, to go to John’s house, and have it out with them. They see John and Kim, with two old people, it appears they are killing them. Brooke, for her own reasons, breaks it off with John.

I am sixty-five years young and promise not to have a heart attack, while on your set. I am married with a wife, and two daughters, and two grandchildren. Was mostly employed in the Security industry, while playing soldier in the army reserve. Retired, and moved north to the North Coast of NSW Australia. I now have time to write, for the fun of it, although recognition of one of my scripts is high on my bucket list.
