MAKE ME A PIZZA
We've seen the scenario before, we know the sleazy set-up. But it's never been this delicious. A woman tells a pizza delivery man she can't pay for the pizza she ordered. But can the sex she offers instead of currency possibly equate to the true value of a pizza? Is there anything that can be worthy of pizza, aside from what the market has decided? Two people, under the weight of capitalism, decide to become the pizza object themselves, to through sex make one another into pizza, in order to become free.

This film was devised in rehearsal by the performer / creators Katie Peabody and Woodrow Currie in collaboration with director and fellow co-writer Talia Shea Levin. We created it in the spirit of fostering abundance and absurdity and in the face of the world's many and constant reasons for fear and scarcity. Mainly, we were inspired by pizza and sex, but also by the many purveyors of sleaze and revolutionary chaos who have come before us, from Karl Marx, to John Waters, to Anna Nicole Smith. Jean Luc Godard and Eric Rohmer's ideas of philosophical debate as foreplay inspired us as well, as did Jacques Lacan's rich philosophy, which complicates any relationship between two people, making them that much juicier. Or cheesier.
Please refer to both the script and pitch deck for a complete perspective of the story and style of the film we seek to create.
