MADMADAM-PANTOMIME

Is a lullaby on loop. Like an absurd spectacle, we go in circles through the cycle of life.

A quiet voice transports us into this crazy world, accompanied by synth and guitar lines that keep evolving throughout the track.

The album’s hit song also features a music video. A female figure spies on people in the happy, intimate moments of their daily lives, then imagines them in a wild, savage dance. This woman, surrounded by a crowd, is profoundly alone. This music video decries how difficult it is today to make deep, human connections.

We live our days on a loop, forgetting the true meaning of our existence.

Director Biography - GIRO NATALIA

MADMADAM, real name Natalia Giro, is an artist, musician, author, and signer. Hailing from Italy and Poland, she lived in several countries before choosing to settle in Paris, France.

She began her career as a classical musician, then moved into jazz, pop, and finally electronic music.

Natalia was raised backstage at the opera. Daughter of an opera singer, she began studying classical music at a young age. She continued studying as she travelled around the world, living in most of the countries in Europe, learning many languages, and being exposed to a wide variety of cultures. She then became the assistant to a famous Austrian conductor, working with a variety of symphonic and operatic repertoire. At the same time, she studied theatre and singing, and began working with other styles of music. She finally left classical music behind to focus on acting and singing pop, jazz, and swing.

She lost her voice to a serious illness and underwent a major operation. After a long recovery, vocal therapy, and finding her spiritual path, she arrived in France. She still dreams of being able to reveal her true eclectic nature, mixing styles on stage to combine her artistic disciplines of singing, acting, and performing. Finally, in 2019, she began writing her first songs as MADMADAM.

Director Statement

Music is life, signing and dance are therapeutic. I don’t drink alcohol, but I don’t have no strong objections to champagne. I love bringing people together and creating connections. I’m a chameleon who can fit in anywhere but belongs nowhere. My home is the United States of Myself.”
