MAAM -Muestra de Antropología Audiovisual de Madrid-

• La duración de los audiovisuales o proyectos no está acotada.
• Los trabajos se proyectarán en lengua castellana original o subtitulada. Tienen que ser enviados ya con la traducción realizada, en su caso.
• Todos los proyectos tienen que adjuntar un breve currículum del realizador/a y un resumen del enfoque teórico y metodológico desarrollado.
• Todos los trabajos proyectados serán premiados con un diploma, un trofeo, reconocimiento oficial y dotación económica por determinar.

El jurado estará compuesto por expertos/as internacionales en antropología audiovisual y miembros del Grupo Temático de Antropología Audiovisual del IMA-Instituto Madrileño de Antropología.

La organización de la MAAM pagará los traslados, alojamientos y dietas en Madrid de los directores/productores de los proyectos ganadores.

En caso de no poder asistir por razones de seguridad sanitaria COVID19 o personales del director invitado, este deberá hacer lo posible para poder asistir virtualmente al streaming del Q&A tras la proyección de la película en el Museo.

Por último, MAAM quiere llegar a públicos generalistas y especializados, generar interés y conocimiento. Por eso para nosotros es importante tener una breve referencia sobre cuestiones metodológicas. Os proponemos varias cuestiones:

1. ¿Por qué elegiste este tema y cómo llegaste hasta los sujetos que lo protagonizan?
2. Trabajo de campo. ¿Cuánto tiempo has estado en el campo de trabajo y filmación?
3. ¿Quién se ha relacionado con los sujetos?¿Cómo han participado los sujetos en el documental? ¿En qué fases han participado?
4. ¿Cuál es el objetivo de tu documental? Aportar conocimiento, transformar, sensibilizar, etc.

· Length is not limited.
· Works will be screened in the original Spanish language or, if they are in another language, in VOSE. They must be sent with the translation already done, if any.
· All projects must include a brief curriculum of the director and a summary of the theoretical and methodological approach developed.
· Every projected work will be awarded with a diploma, a trophy, official recognition or/and economic endowment to be determined.

International experts in audiovisual anthropology and members of the Thematic Group of Audiovisual Anthropology of the IMA-Madrid Institute of Anthropology will compose the Jury.

The organization of the MAAM will pay for the transfers, lodging and daily allowances in Madrid of the directors/producers of the winning projects.

In case of not being able to attend due to health safety reasons (COVID19) or personal reasons of the invited director, he/she must do his/her best to attend the virtual Q&A after the screening of the film in the Museum.

Finally, MAAM wants to reach general and specialized audiences, generate interest and knowledge. That is why it is important for us to have a brief reference on methodological issues. We propose several questions to help you:

1. Why did you choose this topic and how did you get to the subjects who are the protagonists of it.
2. Field work: how long have you been in the field and how long have you been filming?
3. Who has interacted with the subjects. How the subjects have participated in the documentary. In which phases have they participated.
4. What is the purpose of your documentary? To provide knowledge, to transform, to raise awareness, etc.

A short paragraph of each will be enough at the time you list your film on our festival.
