Migrating steadily north from her birthplace in Los Angeles, Lynnette traveled the I-5 corridor until she made a home in the San Juan Islands, off the coast of Washington state. There she raised a family, took only the college classes she was interested in and invested in a 6 acre piece of property that now serves as her own private movie back lot., Acres Wild. After decades of community service facilitating dance, music, foreign languages and science, she took some time recently to get a degree in filmmaking from Seattle Film Institute. She prefers working with animals and children and produces several music videos and short films each year.
The edge of anarchy and loving inclusion permeate the creative works directed by Lynnette Cabera. She directs with the eye of a multi-lingual world traveler, musician, painter and champion of children at risk.
