Lux: i can be your angle... or yuor devil
Lux: i can be your angle... or yuor devil is a single channel video that dissects the pornographic nature of online performativity. The video follows the central character Lux, a blank slate who is navigating the vastness of the internet while being influenced by the personifications of her opposing moral guides, her good and bad sides. As Lux is torn between portraying herself as hyper-intense versions of either good or evil on different social media platforms, it becomes increasingly clear that both of their ethical doctrines serve the same purpose of gratifying the online audiences they each pander to. Lux: i can be your angle... or yuor devil magnifies the falsity of online personas, asking the question: Who are you really posting for?

Liz Waterman is a post-internet video artist using appropriated footage and digital collage to explore society's adaptation to the ever-growing dominance of the internet. Using her experiences growing up online as the foundation of her work, Waterman attempts to draw parallels between the tangible and the digital, focusing on the social, cultural, and psychological effects of mass internet activity. Waterman is currently completing her BFA in Intermedia Concordia University.
