Caution

Caution

"Caution" - or "Cautela/Cuidado" in Portuguese - is a photo taken in the Meier district, in Rio de Janeiro. This place is a very busy train station, where at all times people are rushing and bumping into each other. On this day, I was one of them. At one point, a gentleman caught my attention by the slow way he walked and how he kept his arms strong, while he dodged one of them. He demonstrated there a caution that he didn't have initially.

Artist Statement

"In life, I see myself as an Observer and I believe that my art is the result of looking like a ghost trying to engrave the world and make it immortal. That's how I feel on stage, as an actor: transmuted and disfigured. Understanding the emotion, dying immersed in it and being reborn in another person. In photography, this ghost uses its power to capture time and carry memories with it - and even share them.
Through my art, I try to beg for a more sentimental life and enhance the senses in the details of life.
My art is my most soothing blanket, made to share dreams for those looking to wake up for something to love."
