I am a trans Afro-Caribbean director and screenwriter from Bazurto, Cartagena, inspired by Yemayá and the Caribbean Sea to tell stories since my childhood. This helped me discover my being and survive in complex environments. My work centers Black and Afro-Indigenous queer/cuir lives through intimate and community-centered perspectives. I seek to honor and connect with the queer legacy of my ancestors through storytelling and the protection of knowledge. I have directed and written Caimanas (2022), Pegao (2023), Afrocuirs, and Danzan Las Luciérnagas (2025), which premiered as an official selection at FICCI 64—Cartagena de Indias Film Festival and won the De Indias category. I have also exhibited my works at the Cinemateca de Bogotá and FICCALI, among others.
