Director Biography - Allison Long

A Bernadette is a mixed media artist and songwriter who often finds herself floating between mediums settling briefly and then restlessly moving on to something else. She is currently studying towards her art therapy post-grad and very much enjoys taking her dog for a walk ...and singing to her dog in her spare time.

Director Statement

This project was my very earnest go at producing a stop motion animation. With the kind invitation of Maryem Tollar to produce a video for Al Qahwa's newly released album African Routes- I was inspired to try out a narrative piece. With the professional expertise of my husband Micha Elias Pichlkastner, we organized and shot this video at our kitchen table over the winter holidays. With his dedication and hard work in post-production, the story magical is woven together. I'm happy to have had this opportunity and look forward to the next project already! :)
