Luleå film festival (LFF) is an international event, and it is the first appropriate film festival of its own kind in the beautiful city of Luleå, Sweden.
The aim is to promote and encourage short and documentary films from across the world by giving them the opportunity to showcase them here. And of course to give prizes, such as certificates and trophies to the winning films.
We had a wonderful 1st season, and now we are furthermore motivated for our 2nd season of the Luleå Film Festival in 2020.

I've got just an initial message from the festival but they never followed up, so I have no idea if they've screened our film or not.

    Your film was screened...
    Thanks for your review.

  • I am sure they are a great festival to some but I am very disappointed. I spent the time submitting a DCP over to their server, only to never get a screening date. What’s even worse my short film “Sound” was never apart of their schedule.

I have a few friends in Sweden who wanted to come out and see the film but I couldn’t tell them anything. What I later found out is that the films they nominated were the only ones that were on schedule or that screened.

It was just disrespectful to me and my team. We worked hard on our film and to have this done was just not cool. While others may have had an awesome experience and feel Lulea is great we didn’t get a chance to feel the same.

    Response from festival:

Thank you for your review, we have tried our best, but unfortunately, due to time restrictions, we were not able to show all of the selected films, and we were forced to show the nominated films only.
    we apologies for it.
