Lucky Draw

In the Bailiff Office of Taiwan High Courts, three bailiffs draw lots to decide who is the gunman of tomorrow’s execution. Bailiff Quei-Wu got the mission.
But Quei-Wu’s wife just got pregnant, he asked his colleague Hsin-Chuen to fill in for him to avoid bad luck.
Hsin-Chuen said yes without thinking. But when he got home, his wife reminded him about the appointment of seeing movie with his daughter. Even his daughter was angry, Hsin-Chuen concealed the mission from his daughter and wife. He asked relatives to fill in for him to see the movie with his daughter. His brother-in-law said yes finally, but Hsin-Chuen couldn’t fall asleep all night. He found he wanted to go to the movie with his daughter badly.

Director Biography - Chin Chia-Hua

台大心理系肄業。高中即參與舞台劇創作，學生時期之實驗短片「願望公園」獲金穗獎優等、台北電影獎推薦。擔任freelance廣告導演十餘年，廣告作品超過三百支。

105年短片獲得文化部短片輔導金與台中市影視補助，並入圍高雄電影節國際短片競賽（2018）及東京短片節觀摩放映（2019）。

106年劇本「小曉」獲文化部電視電影製作補助。

107年開拍華視電視電影「夏之橘」。

107年「夏之橘」劇本獲文化部優良劇本獎入圍。

Chin Chia-Hua studied Psychology in National Taiwan University for two years. His experimental film “Garden of Hope” won the Golden Harvest Award and selected by Taipei Film Festival Award. Now he is a freelance CF director.

Short film“ A Daughter’s Task”was nominated by Kaohsiung International ShortFilm Competition, 2018.

Script “Xiao Xiao” won the Domestic Television Fund of Ministry of Culture, ROC (2017).

Script “A Cold Summer Day” was nominated by Excellent Screenplay Award of Ministry of Culture, ROC (2018).
