Currently, Alondra Ovalle is a student at Baylor University studying Film and Digital Media. Alondra's passion for film began when she was a teenager and was particularly drawn to the horror genre. Throughout her work, Alondra has drawn inspiration and implemented film elements from some of her favorite directors like John Carpenter and Guillermo Del Toro.
I was inspired to make Lucid after taking a course on sleep. In the class, we talked about how there aren't any ways to actually explain why dreams occur and I thought that was really fascinating that there isn't an objective way to know someone's dreams. Growing up, my preferred genre of film was always horror and recently, I have taken an interest in physiological horror. Lucid is my way of combining my love for film and educational knowledge.
