Director Biography

Hello! My name is Michael Hugh. I have been inspired to make TV shows and films ever since I was a kid having been introduced to the Star Wars films. I also have an interest in making action/martial arts films inspired by The Raid series, IP Man, Cobra Kai, Netflix's Daredevil, and many more.

Through my work, I strive to tell compelling stories with a message mixed with great action sequences. Most of all, I believe martial arts has been a core component in my life and I would like to somehow incorporate them in films or TV shows to inspire others.

Director Statement

I've been inspired by my father to make this film. My dad once grew up with three brothers from Guangzhou China and eventually parted ways moving to California. Despite being miles away and having family differences, they have remained loyal and supported each other throughout. Like his family and mine, Asian tradition has always been rooted with loyalty and respect no matter the age.

This film is about rekindling family relationships and loved ones in spite of differences or conflicts, because life is already hard as it is and family is there to carry us forward.
