"Vânia is a caxineira teenager, like all her family, always connected to the sea. The search for better family conditions leads her father to embark, for a new job in a codfishing boat, which translates into an absence of six months in each trip. Absence that generates conflicts within the family. In the fishing
atmosphere of Caxinas, people and place, we accompany Vânia at different times.
"The guide addresses emigration, which, being common in the Caxinas community, is globally extensible and aims to value and promote cultural heritage through cinematographic creation, to
sensitize the younger audience to the tradition of the community as an artistic object, aiming also the connection and communication with the local community, as it was shot in the place of Caxinas, as well as in other places where its people attend.
