Low Relief For High Water

Low Relief for High Water offers a portrait of artist Gabriela Salazar as she creates a sculptural installation for the Climate Museum. The film follows the story of this evocative work, which examines intimate themes of home, caretaking, and vulnerability in the climate crisis. Over the course of a single day, Salazar installs and disassembles her work in Washington Square Park, New York City, distributing fragments into the care of passers-by, who reflect on their emotions and responsibilities in the unfolding global climate emergency.

Director Biography - Micah Fink

Micah Fink is an award-winning producer, director and writer specializing in international affairs, public health, science and the environment.

His documentary feature projects include BEYOND BORDERS (PBS), THE ABOMINABLE CRIME (PBS) , and MANN V. FORD (HBO). He has also produced films for CNN, National Geographic Explorer, National Geographic Wild, and The Teaching Channel. He was a co-executive producer for Al Gore’s Climate Reality in 2015 and 2016, and produced live-events for the World Science Festival in 2020.

Micah learned the ropes of documentary production working on five investigative films for Frontline and the Emmy nominated series Frontier House Series for PBS. He served as a field producer for ABC News Dupont Award winning series HOPKINS 24/7 and later produced films for the PBS International Affairs series Wide Angle, exploring HIV/AIDS and the Angolan military, the revival of Japanese militarism, and the spread of a deadly avian flu virus in Vietnam.

Micah is on the faculty at the Graduate Program in Social Documentary at the School Of Visual Arts in NYC.
