Director Biography - Magdalena Jacob

Magdalena Jacob (born 02.12.1994, Schweinfurt) studied screenplay at filmArche and dffb and works also as a musician, performance artist, film music producer and sound engineer.
In 2019 she was nominated for the up-and-coming screenwriting award with the short film screenplay "Lilith" and in 2020 she won the pitch award "Junger Pitch!" at Bundesfestival Junger Film for the project "Streuner", which she won again in 2022 for "Meine Oma aus dem All". The short film "Mother prays all day long" (Director: Hoda Taheri) was awarded "Special Mention" at Locarno Film Festival in 2022. In addition to working on the script, Jacob also embodied part of the main cast. Her music videos “Im a freak” and “I'm a monster, can't you see?” have been screened at various film festivals all over the world.
