Director Statement

I was inspired to write Love in Daylight while watching a documentary on heroin addiction. A young man who came from an upper-class family seemed to have life at his fingertips. However, here he was - homeless and strung out. All I could think of was, "What would happen if he fell in love?". I began writing on Love in Daylight the next day - several drafts later and after meeting other passionate filmmakers, we made the film over a span of six months with only sweat, a few tears, and pure determination. I hope this story reaches a broad audience if only to bring a message of hope: hope for healing, hope for second chances, and hope in finding and experiencing love in daylight.
