Alessandra Cardoso was born in Brazil and raised in the world. A diplomat's brat, she has traveled extensively, acquiring first hand knowledge of cultural and traditions around the globe.
Fluent in 3 languages, and babbling another 2, she graduated in Business and Finance to then realize her passion is in writing. She became an editor to B&S (Beauty & Style) magazine, after a stint as a columnist to Attitude magazine.
Today, Alessandra runs a Public Relations and Communication Firm and dedicates all her spare time to her writing.
As far as I can remember, I’ve been somewhat writing.
As a kid I would write compositions at school that left the teacher wondering whether I was insane or just not all there. My imagination had no limit and stirred teachers speechless and stamped with that compassionate expression “maybe we should meet with your parents.”
As a teenager, I jotted down notes on napkins smeared with tears over the turn of events with the boy of the moment, to then, exhaustively explain the relationship to my diary in the hopes that it would provide me some answers. As I grew and got bolder, I would incorporate the poet trapped inside and write lengthy poems and letters to my love fails that would never be sent. Looking back there seems to have been a lot of relationship fails, but, on the bright side, my writing improved with every new heartbreak.
As an adult I merged my imagination with the creative world of publicity and public relations. It lasted only a decade until the pressure inside exploded, and I found myself longing for an escape, for adventures far beyond the ones already experienced. I needed new life, new personas. Either I totally lost it, or, I ejected all those personalities, worlds, and stories into coherent narratives on a page. So, I strayed into the wonderful world of screenwriting and have not looked back ever since.
