Director Biography - Segilola Ogidan, Edith Nwekenta

Segilola Ogidan is the founder of OKP Productions, in addition to an illustrious on-going career as a multiple Award winning Writer and Actress with training from the highly acclaimed Arts Education Drama School in London. She graduated from Royal Holloway University of London ‎studying Media Arts and shortly thereafter studied an MA in Cinema Studies at University of Bristol. Segilola has a wealth of knowledge in script development, production and film finance having worked at renowned film and television companies. Her short film LOVE PREVAILS was officially selected to screen at the British Urban Film Festival in London 2013 and at the Africa Film Festival in Nigeria. She successfully completed her first feature MUM, DAD, MEET SAM which she wrote and produced. Her second screenplay TAINTED CANVAS was shortlisted by BUFF in association with Channel 4 to be read live at the Festival in September 2014. At OKP Productions, she is responsible for the overall company’s strategic planning, taking the company forward, creating new ideas and making executive decisions. She is currently Exec producing Anthony Abuah’s (Woolwich Boys, Woodfalls) next film MONALISA, due to go into production January 2015.
