Love, London

For my short film, I was inspired by people watching. While observing people, I started to notice various forms of love that surround us everyday. I did my best to capture a few of the moments and ultimately show how love isn’t always romantic. Sometimes love is shown through respect, care, and little things like practicing something you are passionate about or helping someone out when they need it. I added a small feature to the film that I thought added interest and also could be left up to the viewers interpretation. The very first clip shows the word “Love”. I used this for a few different reasons. One reason was to give an idea of what was to come in the rest of the film and provide some insight to what is shown. However, the second reason can be seen once we get to the very last clip. In the clip you can see the words “City Of London”. To me, these are a representation of a love letter. The whole film is about love in London. As we see “Love, London” the viewer can interpret the whole video to be a love letter from London to display all the love that is inside her, London. It shows love among different ethnicities, genders, ages, animals, communities, and so many other forms that fill the city.
