I've been making my own little films for over seven years now, mostly in the arthouse scene. My first ever big submission to a film festival was the Raindance 2017 with a film called "The Sound of Silence". The film itself was...... well....... okay, so the fact it didn't get in wasn't the biggest surprise in the world but we live and learn. I love to shoot in black and white and I love trying to create visual shots that flow; if I can get away with it in a slow tracking shot, I will. I've worked with big crews, small crews, no crews, money, no money, whatever possible to get the story across. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The more I've filmed the more I've been able to see what I can do and more importantly what I can't do, what works and what doesn't. I'm proud of what I have achieved, and hopefully this project can allow me to continue to grow as a filmmaker.
The film is still in the process of sound design but I think that I can say that for me, this experience has been my most proudest achievement and the most difficult yet rewarding experience that I've had on a set. I've had a privilege to work with so many like minded individuals and I look forward to working with them again. With a little luck this project can see the light of day where it can receive some attention.
