Director Statement

Cleveland is filled with many hidden or lost stories that have never been told, that one might consider as secrets. The story of Lou and his tavern is one of many of these secrets.

While filming our feature documentary, Lagerland, we learned of this hidden speakeasy and knew there was a story to be told. We plan to include Lou's Tavern as apart of our feature, but we also realized the history of the space was strong enough to be highlighted as a standalone short. We hope you enjoy the film!
