Nicole's journey began with her work in organizing and advocacy, co-writing a curriculum focused on the historical roots of trauma and co-authoring a relational abuse curriculum rooted in her experiences. Her commitment to addressing the impact of violence in marginalized communities is evident throughout her career. As a Black woman, mother, and survivor, she brings unparalleled insight and empathy to her work, ensuring that the voices of those impacted by the criminal justice system are heard.
