Pierre Ajavon is a video artist, multi-instrumentalist musician, composer and sound engineer.
Lives and works in Paris.
After majoring in social sciences in the area of the psychedelic culture (graduate work: the psychedelic movement and its infuence on contemporary culture) he undertook a long musical journey as composer and multi-instrumentalist.
While undergoing training as sound engineer in 2013, Pierre Ajavon moved toward Video Art to broaden his own field of artistic expression.
He produced many experimental short films which he filmed, edited, and provided with a musical production.
Video soon turned out as a vital introspective and aesthetical tool for his artistic works.
With a view to « film sound » and convert sound into pictures, he aimed to connect his musical mind with a visual aesthetics to create a kaleidoscope of sensations fully carried by the music, the sound and the rhythm.
The last 3 years he has participated in many art exhibitions and festivals throughout Europe, America & Asia.
Since 2015 he has diversifed his research and produced digital works (on aluminium or plexiglas) from his shots.
He redefined the dialogue between sound and moving pictures by creating a triangulation henceforth including still images.
