Director Biography - Thalia Brunner

Thalia Brunner is a recent graduate of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia.

"Losing Grip" is a short animated film that explores themes of greed and consequence, through humour set in a colourful environment. The mature undertones create a story that can be enjoyed and interpreted by a wide audience.

Thalia Brunner pitched the initial idea of a determined child trying to grasp a toy from a claw machine. The idea inspired from the frustratingly addictive arcade experience we’ve all had, formed a strong story with relatable viewer connection.
