Los Feliz is a historic Los Angeles neighborhood with deep ties to the film industry. It was home to the original Disney Bros. Studio, where Walt and Roy Disney created Steamboat Willie in 1928, marking the official birth of Mickey Mouse. The area has been a backdrop for numerous iconic films, including Rebel Without a Cause, which featured Griffith Observatory, and Swingers, which captured the neighborhood’s vibrant nightlife. With its blend of classic Hollywood charm and creative energy, Los Feliz remains a cornerstone of Los Angeles' cinematic legacy.

Based in Los Angeles coolest neighborhood, The Los Feliz Film Fest is a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and the filmmakers who make it all possible. Rooted in the vibrant Los Feliz neighborhood, we proudly highlight short films from local talents while opening our screens to filmmakers from around the world.

Our international film festival is dedicated to the art of short-form storytelling, offering a platform for diverse voices and unique perspectives. With several categories to explore, we welcome submissions that span genres, styles, and themes.

All films selected for the main categories and considered for the award will be notified via email as the “official selection” laureate. The list of laureates will then be published on our website.

The winning films in the main categories will be notified via email, specifically mentioning “the best film” in each category. These films will then be screened at the live event, and the list will be published on our website.
