Director Statement

A few years ago, I had a breakdown which lasted for three long years. During that time, I slowly became lucid about my past 50 years, where I had been orphaned many a times by death, by the end of romance, and i felt the need to make a film, to heal myself. So, LORD OF THE ORPHANS is a unique biopic, where i turn the lens on my family, a certain dark history of my ancestors, on my journey through life, love and cinema, mainly the documentary. Towards the end of the film i go to ask my first wife Rumi,to ask her to play herself in the film, and tragedy overtakes us, while filming..the lines between fiction and non-fiction, of performance and actuality get completely blurred..
