Director Biography - Patricia Andrade

A lens-based artist, uses the camera as an instrument, capturing still or moving images. In her projects she takes a holistic approach, creating every step of the process, from image capture to editing. She has produced films presented in festivals, self-edited a photography book. Her experience in the image area is extensive and diverse. The collaboration with artists in the fields of dance, cinema and music influences her work.
She takes interest in the theoretical aspects associated with image, and is in continued training, of short or long duratio: Photography in Arco (Lisbon), and in IDEP (Barcelona), a Master in Multimedia Art - Audiovisuals (Faculty of Fine Arts de Lisboa) and a Post-Graduation in Visual Studies - Photography and (Pos) Cinema (FCSH, Lisbon).
