Carlos M. Jimenez discovered filmmaking while serving as a U.S. Marine at Camp Pendleton, California, where he held a part-time job at a local movie theater. Here is where he developed an understanding, appreciation and passion for films. Movies had left such an impression on him that it would spark his decision to become a filmmaker.
After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he decided to study filmmaking at Columbia College Chicago. There he majored in Cinematography and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005.
After graduating, Carlos stayed in Chicago and began working on independent films as a camera loader, camera assistant and camera operator.
It was 2008, Carlos and his family moved to Los Angeles. There he jumped on as many sets as possible to develop his network and experience.
ATTORNEYS AT LAW (formerly know as LOOSE ENDS) is the product of a 51 hr short film competition sponsored by the Producer's Guild. Influenced by Sydney Pollack's THE FIRM, MICHAEL CLAYTON and THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR. One day MITCH (PATRICK LAZZARA) and his girlfriend ERIN (RAGON MILLER) are on a morning run and Erin abruptly stops because she needs to use the restroom. She runs off into the lobby of a law firm and disappears. Mitch begins to search for her and notices things are not what they seem.
