Director Statement

As a filmmaker, I've always been drawn to the stories of our ancestors - specifically those that use supernatural elements to explore the human condition. In Hawaiian culture, we call these stories mo'olelo. This film represents my desire to reconcile past and present to create a myth for the modern Hawaiian as well as all individuals who live in diaspora.
