Long Way Around
Long Way Around is a night journey through the 90s and post-modern culture.
This short CGI film wants to explore visual storytelling within the use of cinemagraphs, creating a suspended nocturnal atmosphere with the help of looped animations.
The environments are chosen among the typical USA road trip scenarios: architectures experienced as non-places by Marc Augé and perceived as monuments on the highway: the gas station, the motel, the laundromat.
This project has been made during my studies in digital architecture and 3D animation at Master Architettura Digitale MADI at IUAV University of Venice in 2020.

After pursuing a career as an architect, I've decided to focus entirely on CGI films and visual content.
In my research, I explore visual storytelling set in urban scenarios from the post-modern culture and the environments of late capitalism.
