Director Biography - Emma Sumanaweera

Emma Sumanaweera is a dance and theater artist based in Seattle, WA. Her work combines the whimsy and world-building of theater with the physicality and expressiveness of dance to allow audiences to escape to fantasy worlds and experience rich, meaningful stories. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at Cornish College of the Arts, where she is studying contemporary and ballet techniques, while also developing her own creative practices and style.

Director Statement

This film is inspired by all the things I love about fantasy and romance films: the coziness, the magic, and the comfort. The warm autumn colors of Seattle illustrate this story about finding love in someone unexpected as the cold weather sets in.
