Lonely Games

After the end of his relationship, Zhaonian resigns and decides to leave the city. He asks his roommate, Ah Rong, to deliver a birthday cake to his ex-girlfriend's place for him, and to pick up the computer he left behind. They part ways at the cake store. Ah Rong has a crush on Zhaonian, but until Zhaonian's departure, he has not said anything. Lizi, an employee of the cake store, has a crush on Ah Rong, she takes this step but gets a lost answer. A goodbye, two cakes, three people, ambiguous silence, everything ended without a trace.

Screenwriter/Director/Editor/Colorist;
Graduate student of Shanghai Film Academy, majoring in film director;
Participant of Zunzheng HDR color grading class;
Participant of Guanchao Film Festival Feature Film Script Workshop;
Personal creations include feature films, documentaries, music videos and fashion shorts;
Directorial and creative works have been selected for the WIP section of the Beijing International Film Festival, the Pingyao International Film Festival, and are included in the CathayPlay platform for Chinese-language art films.

Director Statement

In the film, I use a daily moment or action to shape a complex and ambiguous emotional relationship, trying to outline the troubled psychology of urban youth who cannot face themselves truly and cannot love, and to convey the alienation and loneliness of urban life. To a certain extent, it is the feeling that pushes me to tell this story, not the story that pushes me to convey the feeling. As a film that emphasizes mood and atmosphere, I hope to lead the audience into the rainy night of this story, to experience and feel it.
