When a game of hide and seek is the only chance at alone time - they realise they might have taken playtime too far.

Director Biography - Ella Samoles-Little

Lola is Ella's first independent short film, shortlisted for Four Stories, Channel 4's talent scheme in 2019.

She is inspired by the works of Andrea Arnold, Lynne Ramsay, Harmony Korine. Amongst many inspirational creatives and producers, her sister and director Cleo Samoles-Little along with our mother Janina Samoles have always thrived and bounced ideas off each other creating a beautiful balance.

My love for film combined with the passion built when learning to produce Live events and immersive theatre for the Olympic Festival and the Barbican in 2012.

Ella has previously assisted the production of multiple short films including, Knock Down Ginger, funded by Film London and the BFI in 2016 as part of the London Calling Scheme, directed by Cleo-Samoles-Little.

She also has experience as a self-shooter and has created promotional content for festivals like Mandrea Music Festival in Italy and Meadows in the Mountain Festival in Bulgaria.

Currently Ella is working on a photography project / new short film Idea. - Lola will be her first entrance into the festival scene.

During quarantine she has enjoyed creating a digital detox, organising and completing edits from earlier in the year.

Recently involved as Producer with Glitch Co, to create an animated Music video For Henge, very impressed with the progress so far, and excited to share with the world in July 2020.
