Lockdown
Six people who desperately need to be at other places on this day of their
lives coincidentally find themselves trapped at Life Care Hospital Lagos, on the day when the federal government orders an immediate lockdown of the building for 21 days with police and snipers stationed outside the building to stop anyone from leaving or entering.
All the characters had been exposed to a deadly virus carried by Mr Anelle, a Liberian citizen who arrived Nigeria on the same day. What starts off as a normal day soon turns to an escape for survival.

However he gained critical recognition for directing the highly awarded domestic violence film ”Damage” in 2010, followed by the critically acclaimed psychological thriller “Torn” (2012 film)“which he produced and directed and released in cinemas nationwide in 2013. The movie earned him multiple award nominations and recognitions. Since then he has directed other major blockbusters including Last 3 Digits, Itoro, Stalker, Alter Ego, Crazy People, Cold Feet, Bad Comments and Merry men 2 which went on to emerge the highest-grossing film at the box office at the end of 2019 with a sum of 240 million.
Inwang is recognised for his uncompromising devotion to quality and his consistent artistic approach to telling Nigerian stories.
Lockdown is a film that will strongly resonate with audiences across the globe majorly because it is themed around a familiar event and happening - a global pandemic.
When I conceived this story in 2015 and I knew immediately that it would be one of my biggest and best film works. But it would take another five years to finally bring the idea into life. After many attempts towards raising funds to make the film, ifactorylive and CEM Media came onboard in 2020 and finally, principal photography was set for April 2020. But it wasn't to be, as an actual Lockdown came upon us. So the shoot had to be suspended. Eventually we got to commence filming in December 2020 as the Lockdown was temporarily relaxed in Nigeria but the pandemic was far from over.
Filming through a global pandemic and I must say, was quite excruciating, almost an impossible task but we kept our head up while strictly abiding by all health protocols and finally I called the last shot in February 2021. The end product of this rollercoaster experience is one I am very proud to present to the world today- Lockdown.
