LOCKDOWN is a contemporary dance video inspired by challenges of the ongoing pandemic. It explores its impact on an individual, the feelings of isolation, frustration, unease, as well as the will power to go on and find beauty in the world around us.
It’s a beautiful summer day, sun shines on the town, yet she is alone. After months of lockdowns, the dance studios are closed but she is determined to find a possibility to move. The desire to be free, the never-ending mood swings, hope, then emptiness. Lockdowns can’t stop the urge to express feelings. It’s a geyser of moves that find their way to the surface, no matter what. Even if it’s in an old parking lot.
