I grew up at the Jersey Shore, gorging on 1970s dystopian thrillers and 1980s horror movies. I'll be talking to the imaginary voices in my head and writing screenplays until they pry the laptop from my cold dead hands.
A New Jersey native, Lizzie Finn has been involved in the East Coast independent film scene for over 25 years. She filled a myriad of crew roles (script supervisor, assistant director, assistant editor) on films produced by Kevin Smith’s View Askew Productions (A Better Place, Big Helium Dog, Vulgar) and was a segment writer on Discovery’s Emmy-winning Greatest Inventions with Bill Nye. For several years, Lizzie was a partner in Like-Minded Entertainment, a female-run company dedicated to developing high-quality documentaries, short films, and TV projects on a shoestring budget. She has won numerous awards for her writing and works as an independent script consultant. In 2019, she began teaching screenwriting at Project Write Now and became Program Director of the PWN Screenwriting Academy in 2020.
