Living Your Life Like This

Day by day
You’ve taken life for granted
But today
The choice is yours to change it

I’m unable to explain
Why are we living in vain
Why do we do what we’re told
Instead of what we want

One by one
Surrounded and divided
But I’m done
I can no longer hide it

So get this into your head
This rise and run never ends
Is this how you live your life
Head down, never asking why?

Buried in the crowd
Digging my way out

This machine won’t stop
Until we pull it apart
A part of someone else’s
Plan controlling
You living your life like this
Go on and behave
Becoming nothing but their slave
What brings me to my knees is knowing
You’re living your life like this

Rules to ditch
We’re trading theirs for ours
Make them rich
By working after hours

You need to keep this in mind:
These hands aren’t all that they bind
The years will leave you behind
You will find

Rotten to the top
It will chew you up

This machine won’t stop
Until we pull it apart
A part of someone else’s
Plan controlling
You living your life like this
Go on and behave
Becoming nothing but their slave
What brings me to my knees is knowing
You’re living your life like this

*WORK*
There must be more to this life
*EAT, SLEEP, REPEAT*
You must be feeling deprived
*WORK*
The seed they planted too deep
*EAT, SLEEP*
To just work, eat and sleep

*Won’t stop…*

This machine won’t stop
Until we pull it apart
A part of someone else’s
Plan controlling
You living your life like this
Go on and behave
Becoming nothing but their slave
What brings me to my knees is knowing
You’re living your life like this
