The Living Skies Student Film Festival is an international short film festival based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, showcasing student work from across the globe. The three-day event, now in its 35th edition, will take place in April 2024, and is an opportunity to experience the emerging talent of local filmmakers, as well as to celebrate the work being done by film students across the country and globe.
Every year, our event features programmed screenings, workshops, and special guests presentations by leading artists and industry professionals. It is a 3-day cultural event, artistic showcase, and learning opportunity, that culminates with our awards celebration and gala, held at the University of Regina campus, where the best films from Saskatchewan and around the globe have the chance to be awarded.
The Living Skies Student Film Festival is entirely student run, and is committed to providing the opportunity for other student filmmakers to submit their work for free (with proof of student enrolment; see Rules & Terms below).
