Tom hails from the hills of West Virginia and ventured down south for some real learning at the University of Georgia where he earned degrees in Political Science and Theatre. He is currently an MFA candidate at SCAD studying Film and Television Production. In his work he loves blending genre lines, mostly dealing with horror and comedy. His most recent film Door to Door has earned several awards in its festival tour so far. When not on set or locked away by his keyboard, Tom performs with his improv troupe Vibe Check and teaches through Sketchworks Comedy.
Directing Livin’ After Midnight was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life to date. The crew was exceptional, and the brave enough talent to audition swept me off my feet. The chance to direct an LGBTQ Vampire, Horror, Rom-Com isn’t an everyday occurrence. So I flew at the opportunity. It was particularly thrilling to cast a non-binary actor within the role of Robyn. That was the biggest priority for my casting team and me as we moved along. If we couldn’t find the right Robyn, we were done, but we did, and now all of you lovely audiences will get to experience this fantastic film. I wanted this to be a different film from what you’re expecting and hope that you’re eager to take a bite, but not too hard, out of Livin’ After Midnight.
