In the space between mirrors, she explores how comparison bends and shapes us—an ever-evolving reflection. Her poetry plays with echoes and distortions, navigating the blurred lines between who we are and who we think we should be. It’s a back-and-forth conversation with self, where each glance into the mirror brings something new, unsettling, or illuminating. Some poems feel like a dialogue, while others unpack the tension of identities colliding, fractured by external expectations.
A self-claimed poly poet (an artist who employs diverse styles, forms, and mediums in their creative expression), rooted in the Pacific Northwest, she weaves her lived experience as a queer, bi-racial Black woman into every piece she creates. She is devoted to challenging stereotypes about identity and motherhood, embodying a balance of passion and parenting.
Her guiding principle, ‘Curiosity before assumption,’ informs her creative process, urging a commitment to breaking down barriers, fostering understanding, and exploring new perspectives.
