Lin is a Malmö based filmmaker and performance artist who is very passionate about telling strong original stories. In 2011, she directed and produced a feature documentary called Iphigenia, which aired several times on national Swedish television, SVT. It was received incredibly well and it later aired on both Danish and Norwegian Television. "You Promise?" which is partly inspired by childhood memories, is her second narrative short film. The film has been screened at 22 international film festivals and counting, has won seven awards and gotten two Special Mentions. In 2021, she directed a narrative music video, Blommor i krukor (Potted Flowers), for singer/song-writer Viktor Ejwertz that premiered at popmuzik.se and has been featured at other big music blogs and online awards since then. When Lin not is busy making films and playing with her two-year-old daughter, she sometimes writes fictional and real journal entries at her writing blog: The Unconventional Journals of a Not so Successful Artist, where she contemplates her unbalanced existence full of hope, dreams, art, failures and successes. She has a background in theatre, performance art and events as well as in film. Lin has worked with the legendary theatre company The Living Theatre, built a performance festival at Burning Man, ran an artist collective in Brooklyn for seven years, and helped produce the avant garde theatre festival undergroundzero in The Lower East Side in New York to name a few things. Although she is not in any sort of way chasing a performance art career at this very moment this part of her life always influences her work. She loves using strong colors and is not afraid of letting realistic stories take an abstract turn when it serves a purpose. Her development process also often includes at least one installation/performance art event. Lin loves narrative filmmaking and hopes to be able to create films for the rest of her life.
